September 13 through October 14 Artists Opening September 13 from 5:30 to 8pm
Beverly Schiermeier
Beverly’s
oil paintings and pastels are inspired by the color and light used by the Lyme
Impressionists. They include New England landscapes
and still-life art work. All of the landscapes are done “en plein air” outdoors
on location. She earned first prize in the
Estuary Council of Seniors
2010 Calendar Juried Competition, plus she has won juror awards at the Madison
Art Society, Milford, Essex and the Clinton Art Society Juried Shows.
Maryanne Rupp
Maryanne Rupp, a Killingworth pastel and oil artist, has won numerous local art awards and has displayed her work throughout New England. Maryanne is a member of the Connecticut Pastel Society, the Lyme Art Association, the Madison Art Society and the Clinton Art Society. She believes that producing art is the artist's ability to find beauty in the most ordinary objects.
Steve Brunetti
As an Artist and a lover of the great outdoors, I
find inspiration and relaxation when painting Mother Nature's world. There is a
tranquility in creating the depth of water, trees and sky. I wish my viewers to
be able to feel as if they and put their hand into the trees and wade in the
waters that I paint so that they can experience the same calm that I feel when
a get lost in my work.
Karen Suponski
Being an artist often means seeing our world a little differently than others do. I love the play of sunlight and shadows as well as reflective light in metals and glass. I hope to convey to the viewer the simple beauty that is all around us.

Explorations of the colors that are imperceptible to the naked eye are endless. When that barely visible layer collides with light, the creativity begins! Pigments, transitions and reflections all play their part. My goal is to have my viewers fall into that world to discover what they normally wouldn’t take time to see.
