Equestrian Mental Fitness Workshops

We are delighted to have Liz Piacentini offer two programs to help you get ready for riding this spring.
Make it a half-day retreat!  
Yoga for Riders with Rachel Little: 12:30-1:45pm. Additional fee of $15 payable at the door.
Liz Piacentini: Unmounted Seminar: 2 to 5pm, $35 in advance, $40 at door
Continue the conversation in the tasting room! Fabulous wines available for purchase, 5-6:00pm.
Rider Goals & Mental Fitness Tools for your Journey
March 28th - 2 to 5pm (Yoga at 12:30, $15 payable at door)

  • BEYOND GOAL SETTING – Boost your chances of achieving your goals by strengthening the process of getting there. Create a personal plan that develops strong technical skills, a positive mindset and supportive behaviors. Discover creative activities that get your brain on board by sparking greater retention and motivation.
  • EQUESTRIAN MENTAL FITNESS – What we think impacts how we ride! Understand effective strategies for cultivating positive self-talk. Learn visualization and creative imagery techniques to increase confidence and perform at your best.
Music Motivation & Pre-ride Plans for Riding Under Pressure
April 25th - 2 to 5pm (Yoga at 12:30, $15 payable at door)

  • PRESSURE PROOF YOUR RIDE WITH MUSIC – It all starts with a song! Mentally prepare for a stressful ride using techniques created by former USEF Coach, Daniel Stewart. Learn fun and effective strategies for staying focused when the unexpected happens, tackling show jitters, and increasing confidence.
  • PRE-COMPETITION PLANS & PREPARATIONS – Learn how to overcome the “what if’s” of worry through greater awareness of your thoughts, body language, breathing and routines. Create a personal pre-ride ritual to get in the zone of concentration and ride at your best – even if you experience a mistake.

Liz Piacentini is a certified presenter of Daniel Stewart’s Equestrian Sport Psychology Program.  She found his Pressure Proof techniques extremely helpful during her personal journey of rebuilding confidence after injury.  In 2019, Liz completed additional training through the Academy for Brain Health and Performance. Her seminars and articles on www.BetweenOurEars.com help riders develop a positive mindset, increase focus, tackle show jitters, and maximize enjoyment with their horse! She resides in Southwick, MA, and enjoys riding her Canadian horse, Lyrical.
