Lost Acres Vineyard is a multipurpose farm. Grape growing and wine making is perhaps the central activity of our farm, but not the only one. We also raise pigs, chickens and keep horses and maintain herb, flower and vegetable gardens Visit our farm store for wine, pork and more.
Lost Acres Vineyard has 5 acres of grape vines planted, approximately 3000 vines. We have 6 grape varieties planted, all white grapes. Our vines were planted in 2010, and we had our first harvest in 2011. Our 2012 harvest produced 1200 gallons of juice which was used in our Chardonnay, Riesling, Wedge White, Salmon Brook Rose and Enders Reserve (coming soon).
Lost Acres Vineyard produces approximately 1500 cases of wine annually. Along with our white wines and Rose, we produce 3 red wines and an apple wine. Our wine making takes place in the basement of our winery. The underground basement provides a stable temperature all year.
The juice is fermented, heat and cold stabilized and aged on site. Once the wine is ready, it is bottled and aged in the bottle an addition 2 to 6 months.
Pigs & Chickens
Our pasture raised pigs have a great life and one bad day. And after that one bad day, they provide us delicious pork. Try a pasture raised pork roast paired with a glass of apple wine. Yum!
We love our horses....and we want to share them with you with vineyard tours on horseback.
Each ride is private and limited to 2 people. Discover the romance of horse and rider as you ride through lush vineyards, native woodlands, meadows and streams.
A private picnic lunch and bottle of wine completes your experience. $150.00 per couple. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for reservations.
Our gardens ARE beautiful, but more importantly they provide ingredients for our cheese and antipasto plates and the flowers attract birds and beneficial insects that keep down pests.
