Lamb edited Couldn’t Keep It to Myself and I’ll Fly Away, two volumes of essays from students in his writing workshop at York Correctional Institution, a women’s prison in Connecticut, where he has been a volunteer facilitator for the past 17 years. A third volume of essays is due to be published shortly.
About Isael Gonzalez
Prior to starting the Ranchero Pandillero program in Mexico Isael worked out of NYC with the National Network for Safe Communities. He also worked in NYC with the Drug Policy Alliance and been involved with community policing programs and criminal justice work in Brazil and on the border between Panama and Columbia. Isael speaks English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
Established in 1981 CASA is a Mexican nonprofit that provides health, education and culture opportunities to youth to enhance individual lives and society. It is known internationally for empowering youth, launching Mexico´s first government-accredited midwifery program and for working tirelessly for nonpartisan, just public policies.
