Oct 25 from 8 to 1pm
Sponsored by Mad River Pony Club featuring first ever Vine Hoppers!
Sign up here Have you ever thought about eventing? Not sure how it all works? Have an inexperienced horse needing a welcoming venue? Join us for a taste of eventing (dip your toe in; have a sip of insanity.) We offer this first ever, starter and vine hopper event: fun, friendly and welcoming. Inexperienced and first timers welcome! The course is designed to give riders a positive and accessible introduction to eventing with an emphasis on learning and succeeding. |
All USEA rules will control (except the rule against unauthorized assistance -- that one will be ignored with abandon). Our course designer will walk courses with all competitors and even give a little coaching if you need it. We'll explain rules and encourage questions. We want you to walk away knowing what Eventing is all about - and ready to take on more.
Our course is inviting - expect between 8 and 10 cross country jumps on relatively flat terrain in two large enclosed fields for Starter. Vine Hoppers will have 5 to 7 jumps . NO WATER! NO DITCHES!
Dressage will be on grass. Stadium is in a large sand ring.
Dressage Judge: Katie Rocco (r), Massachusetts
Costumes are permitted - either horse, rider or both - with an emphasis on safety. (Absolutely no capes or attire wrapped around your neck). Helmets mandatory when mounted.
